A Proposed Insight into the Anti-viral Potential of Silver Nanoparticles against Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

This article presents a proposed insight into the anti-viral potential of silver nanoparticles against novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Possible mechanisms influence on are considered. Models nanosilver complexes with spike protein amino acids were constructed using computer quantum-chemical modeling. The values electron density distribution, highest occupied molecular orbital, lowest unoccupied orbital and distribution gradient for each model obtained. Analysis obtained data showed that most energy-efficient interaction is formation "tryptophan–nanosilver" complex (E= - 5856.83 kkal/mol). According to results quantum chemical calculations, stable "cysteine– Ag nanoparticles" (ΔE = 0.16 a. u.).
